Acting has been a huge part of Nasya's life since the age of six. Through her many years of training and performing, she has realized that the skills she learned were making her a more confident person and in turn helped her find her voice.
Nasya would love the opportunity to share her program "Patch for a Purpose #FindYourVoice " with your organization. This program promotes Character, Creativity, Confidence and Physical/Mental Well-Being while encouraging children to find their voice through the performing arts.
#FindYourVoice promotes physical and mental well-being, coping skills and leadership skills that are taught through the patch program. My hope is that every young girl who earns the #FindYourVoice patch will better understand the benefits the 3 Cs: Character building, Creativity, and Confidence play in their everyday lives.
Character is a vital building block of childhood development. With this program a child can find characters they would like to embody through the characters they create. The program includes a multitude of opportunities for children to explore. Through the Patch For A Purpose #FindYourVoice acting model they can discover the power of their personal voice.
Patch for a Purpose #FindYourVoice empowers and teaches children that by using the arts as a creative outlet, they have the power to make a difference. The performing arts allow children to have a productive outlet to get in touch with their creative sides.
Finding your voice helps others find theirs'. This program aids in developing the crucial building blocks that create confidence. It teaches children that if they dream and work hard, they can do anything. This program allows children to learn the importance of using positive affirmations in their daily life as a key to promoting confidence.
"Nasya is an excellent role model and all around young woman. Her passion for theatre and the wonderful things theatre teaches are truly infectious. Nasya began with TheatreWorks as a student and young actress at the age of 6 and since then has held numerous lead acting roles in our company. Nasya also has done an outstanding job as one of our Class Instructors, Show Directors, and Camp Coordinators. It is with the utmost love, respect and enthusiasm that I recommend Nasya to bring the Performing Arts to your organization!!" - Jillian Helget, Executive & Artistic Director- TWNN
It has been a privilege to work with Nasya for the past five years as she devoted herself to teaching theater to children living at the Volunteers of America Family Shelter in Reno. Not only did she return faithfully each week to teach the children, but she led them in annual theatric productions. In each production, the children performed in full costume, makeup, lighting, sound and professional set. Each time more than 100 guests enjoyed the show and waited in line for a program to be personally autographed by the children in the show. Despite the many challenges of working with a transient population and families who are in crisis, Nasya never once lost her poise or kind manner. She has endless patience, compassion and charm. Working with Nasya has been a special treat for me, and I will l never forget watching the children perform with proud tears in my eyes. Thanks to caring people like Nasya, we can offer our shelter residents opportunities of self-discovery and explore their true potential. - Sandy Isham

Through our partnership with Theaterworks of Northern Nevada, I have had the pleasure of directly working with Nasya. Her passion for bringing the performing arts into the lives of the youth in our community is infectious and has helped us at the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows to better our performing arts programming and allow more of our members to enjoy that experience. Watching Nasya work with our members, was clear to see that she is in the right line of work and our members absolutely adored her. Thanks to passionate and caring people like Nasya, we have been able to offer the performing arts to more of our members at the Boys & Girls Club.
