It has been a privilege to work with Nasya for the past five years as she devoted herself to teaching theater to children living at the Volunteers of America Family Shelter in Reno.  Not only did she return faithfully each week to teach the children, but she led them in annual theatric productions.  In each production, the children performed in full costume, makeup, lighting, sound and professional set. Each time more than 100 guests enjoyed the show and waited in line for a program to be personally autographed by the children in the show.  Despite the many challenges of working with a transient population and families who are in crisis, Nasya never once lost her poise or kind manner.  She has endless patience, compassion and charm. Working with Nasya has been a special treat for me, and  I will l never forget watching the children perform with proud tears in my eyes.  Thanks to caring people like Nasya, we can offer our shelter residents opportunities of self-discovery and explore their true potential. - Sandy Isham

Through our partnership with Theaterworks of Northern Nevada, I have had the pleasure of directly working with Nasya.
